You need to configure Microsoft Outlook Express email client in order to read your email messages using Microsoft Outlook Express. When you configure the email client, you must specify the SMTP and POP/IMAP server configuration to authenticate the connection.

This section provides instructions on accessing and manually setting up your mailbox using Microsoft Outlook Express and the SMTP server configuration required to authenticate the connection.
Please be aware that many ISPs are now blocking your ability to use your own SMTP service in their attempts to track and control spam mail. Should this be the case, you will have to set your SMTP server to that of your ISP according to their instructions.

Step 1
Start Outlook Express.
Step 2
In the Display name field, enter your name as you want it to appear in the outgoing messages.
Step 3
Click Next.
Step 4
In the E-mail address field enter your email address. This is the address other people use to send email messages to you.

Step 5
Click Next.

Step 6
In the Incoming mail (POP, IMAP) server field, enter your domain name.

Step 7
In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server field, enter your ISP email account settings.

Step 8
Click Next.

Step 9
In the Account name field, enter your mailbox user name in the format <username@domain.com>.

Step 10
In the Password field, enter your mailbox password.

Step 11
Click Next.

Step 12
In the last setup window, click Finish.
This adds the new account. You can now specify your email settings.

Specifying Email Settings

1. Start Microsoft Outlook Express.
2. Choose Tools > Accounts.
3. In the Internet Accounts dialog box, click the Mail tab.
4. Select the new account and click Properties.
5. In the Properties window, click the Servers tab.
6. In the Outgoing Mail Server area, select the My server needs authentication check box.
7. Click Settings.
8. Select the "Logon using" option and enter your ISP email account logon credentials.
    Note: Some ISPs require you to register external email addresses to use their SMTP service.
9 Click OK.
10. Click OK again.
Your account is ready to use.
